Helping Organizations Understand and Mitigate Risk

I can help you and your organization.

I provide organizations with direct, actionable recommendations to mitigate risk. In doing so, I help firms take risks and achieve their business goals. I will help you be intentional about tolerating, treating, or terminating risk in your organization by providing rigor and expertise in the following areas:

Risk Intelligence

Based on my long career as an U.S. intelligence officer, I help organizations use intelligence to either save money or make money.

Not to be confused with business intelligence, risk intelligence—sometimes referred to as protective intelligence, threat intelligence, or security intelligence—helps organizations understand  and address their problems and challenges.

My services can include establishing or professionalizing your intelligence team and processes.

This process begins with understanding your organization’s context in terms of its:

(1) mission and vision,
(2) strategy,
(3) business model,
(4) stakeholders,
(5) operating environment,
(6) concerns and perceived/assessed risks,
(7) and risk management principles.

Once I understand your context, I assist in establishing intelligence requirements and providing training to sound analytic tradecraft, including structured analytic techniques.  I’m also available to assess concerns and threats at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels.

Geopolitical Risk

Based on my long career as an U.S. intelligence officer, I help organizations use intelligence to either save money or make money.
